Kolkata, Jun 24, 2019 : I league club representatives met today in Delhi to discuss the future course of action in light of recent developments in Indian football. They had a very fruitful discussion in this matter. The statement said I-League clubs Mohun Bagan , Quess East Bengal , Churchill Brothers , Minerva Punjab , Aizawl FC , NEROCA , Gokulam Kerala FC unanimously decided to approach the appropriate courts for relief in case AIFF declares ISL as Top league after the Executive committee meeting scheduled on 3rd July , 2019.

The statement also highlighted that the apathy of federation President to meet the I-League club representatives in-spite of repeated reminders and the subsequent vindictive actions towards I-league clubs at the behest of FSDL is very unfortunate and jeopardize the future of Indian football.

I League which started in 1996 has always been considered as Top League at National level and has a rich tradition of nurturing players and fan base since its inception. I-League clubs will fight unitedly against any illegal & unacceptable decision to revoke the TOP League status.
