Chittagong, 19 October, 2019: Mohun Bagan will resume their season with the opening match of Sheikh Kamal Gold Cup. The Mariners have been placed in Group B along with Chittagong Abahani (Bangladesh), Young Elephant (Laos), TC Sports (Maldives).

Kibu Vicuna has the full strength Mohun Bagan team at his disposal and will be able to get the services of five foreigners thanks to the rule of Gold Cup. The Mariners came close to lifting both Durand Cup and Calcutta League trophies and will look to seal an international title in Bangladesh. Salva Chamorro, Mohun Bagan’s top scorer this season was traveled late to Bangladesh due to logistical issues but will be available for selection on Sunday.

Founded in 2015, Young Elephants FC is based in Vientiane, Laos. Their aim is to promote local talent and a significant portion of Laos national team ply their trade at the club. In 2019 Lao League they finished third after getting 28 points in 15 matches.

Mohun Bagan take on Young Elephants FC on 20th October at Chittagong’s MA Aziz Stadium. The match will be streamed live through the tournament’s official Youtube channel.
